The founder

Stefano Gracis has been involved in training in dentistry for over 25 years. The Dentalbrera Portal, born ten years ago, has its roots in the clinical and scientific competence developed by Gracis in his long career as an excellent prosthetist.

He received his D.M.D. degree in 1986 from the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) and, in 1987, from the University of Pavia (Pavia, Italy). In 1990 he obtained the certificate in Prosthodontics with an M.S.D. degree at the University of Washington in Seattle under the guidance of Prof. Ralph Yuodelis. He then returned to Milan, Italy, where he has been working ever since in private practice limiting his activity to prosthodontics and restorative dentistry. He belongs as active member to the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry (AIOP), for which he was President in the years 2007-2008 and to the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) for which he was President for the 2017-18 term.

He is on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry and of the International Journal of Prosthodontics. He has contributed several articles and chapters in the field of restorative dentistry and he is a frequent lecturer on topics related to fixed prosthodontics and implant prosthodontics. He has been involved in the Scientific Committee of several International congresses.
